Mosaic "Time for a Change"

I love using iridescent glass, but it's hard to photograph. I can't resist posting both versions of this new piece, called "Time for a Change".  It is one mosaic, but it's photographed in two different kinds of light. Kind of fun to see how different it looks depending on the light. 15.5"h x 12.5"w The dress is tempered glass over text from a fashion magazine.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport

I have more exciting news... My designs have just been approved for two large mosaics in the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport! Mosaika will be fabricating them, and I'm so excited to work with them. They produce amazing mosaics! This will be hand glazed ceramic tiles.

Project for Mayo - Austin

Okay, let me tell you about my next project. It's for the Mayo Clinic in Austin, MN. It's going to be five individual mosaics that will be arranged across a roughly 12'x5' area in the main lobby. The panels represent stories told by a local naturalist, and also local scenes. The panels are cut, but I can't start the mosaic until I get confirmation from the framer and I know how to prep the backsides of the boards. Can't wait to dig in!
